Reporting for 6.1

Is there anyway that CFMX 6.1 can be "tweeked" to use CFMX 7's reporting functionality? The company I work for owns a license of 7 but one of our clients is running their own server and owns CFMX 6.1. They aren't interested in upgrading but are looking for functionality that is found in CFMX 7's reporting. If there's a way to administer a CFX tag or include a JAR from the newer version, that would be really helpful. I'm not even sure if this is legal either.
