Sub Reports not getting query data

Hi Everyone,

(CFMX 7)
I have a report (lets call it Main) that includes a sub report (Sub1)

I have a query defined and included in the query attribute of the cfreport tag(theQuery).

Any field that is assigned thequery.columnname inside "Main" works fine.
Any field that is assigned the query.columnname inside "Sub1" fails with a variable not found error.

I have added into Sub1 the query as part of the report (with report builder) but it still throws the same error.
I assume it is because there is a query attribute specified that the internal query is ignored.
But I don't know if that holds true for sub reports or not.

I would have assumed that the initial query attribute for the "Main" report would have been available for all sub reports to use too?

Am I missing something simple?
